Select Fabricators manufactures bags, covers and shrouds, death care products, medical device components, specialty garments and EMI shielding enclosures. The common denominator is the use of flexible materials to deliver safety, security and storage. Many products are "off-the-shelf" and use SFi's contract product assembly and fulfillment services.
With a factory, warehouse and cleanroom facility in Upstate New York, Select Fabricators, Inc. is a leading fabrication house providing customers with high quality products and contract services. Products have been designed for corrosion control, moisture/vapor barriers, contamination control, IR signature reduction, electro-magnetic concerns and odor elimination Using an "a la carte" approach, customers chose from SFi's services of prototyping, purchasing, manufacturing, storage, bulk shipping and fulfillment in order to assist in their business' growth and profitability.
Two key areas provide the thrust of Select Fabricator's development and production capabilities. First is Select Fabricators' expertise in assembly, sewing and ultrasonic welding. This provides significant process flexibility in sheeting and industrial sewing as well as cleanroom and electro-mechanical assembly. Second is access to specialty films and fabrics through alliances with industry leaders. Metallized fabrics and yarns, thin films, laminates, and nonwoven materials provide a wide range of choices to meet customer requirements. Recent projects include cost reduction of masoleum casket protectors, packaging efficiencies for an emergancy medical device, prototype veterinarian products and packaging, the design and construction of large tarps and covers for the storage and transporation of sensitive machinery, and the development of contamination covers.
