FISHER/UNITECH Achieves the 2010 Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Private Companies in America

Troy, MI (August 25, 2010) - FISHER/UNITECH, a leading engineering technologies firm serving the Midwest, has achieved number 4,894 on Inc. magazine's fourth annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. This is the third consecutive year FISHER/UNITECH has made the list, posting an increase in revenue growth since 2006. Despite the fact that revenue figures for this year's measuring period of 2006-2009 took place during a recession, FISHER/UNITECH's diversification in geography, industry and product portfolio has helped the company not only weather the economic storm but achieve growth targets as well.

"We are proud to be recognized as part of the Inc. 5000 for the third consecutive year, especially given the business climate in the Midwest. We have worked hard over the past year to put the infrastructure in place to address specialized market needs in both engineering and manufacturing," said Charles Hess, president of FISHER/UNITECH. "As discrete manufacturing companies begin to bounce back from the recession by adding headcount and making technology investments, FISHER/UNITECH is positioned to meet these unique needs."

"The leaders of the companies on this year's Inc. 5000 have figured out how to grow their businesses during the longest recession since the Great Depression," said Inc. president Bob LaPointe. "The 2010 Inc. 5000 showcases a particularly hardy group of entrepreneurs."

The 2010 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2006 to 2009. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by June 30, 2006. Additionally, they have to be based in the United States, privately held, for profit, and independent - not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies - as of December 31, 2009. The minimum revenue required for 2006 is $80,000; the minimum for 2009 is $2 million.
