Factiva's Clare Hart Moves Up to New Position at Dow Jones; Deputy CEO Claude Green Named Interim CEO


Hart Becomes Chair of Factiva Board of Directors

New York - February 22, 2006 - Factiva ®, a Dow Jones and Reuters Company, today announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Clare Hart has been named to a senior executive role at Dow Jones and will be leaving her position at Factiva. As part of her responsibilities as Executive Vice President, Dow Jones, and President, Dow Jones Enterprise Media Group, Ms. Hart will become Chair of Factiva's six-person Board of Directors.

Factiva also announced that Claude Green, currently Deputy CEO, will become Interim CEO, effective March 1. Mr. Green will assume all responsibilities of the CEO until Ms. Hart's successor is named. Ms. Hart will provide advice and counsel throughout this period to ensure a smooth transition.

Ms. Hart became President and CEO of Factiva in January 2000, just eight months after the joint venture was formed. Under her leadership, Factiva has continually broken new ground in business search and is an acknowledged leader in providing essential news and business information to individuals in enterprises around the world.

Ms. Hart was instrumental in building a single Factiva culture for the Dow Jones and Reuters joint venture. During her tenure, Factiva developed a next-generation technology platform, which today enables the company to deliver world-class content alongside an organization's internal data to enterprise information solutions, providing 1.8 million paying subscribers with easy access to relevant information when they need it.

Claude Green became Deputy CEO at Factiva's inception in May 1999. In this role, he has overseen the human resources, finance, business development, and legal departments at Factiva. In addition, he has been responsible for Factiva's global government relations team.

Prior to his appointment at Factiva, Mr. Green held a number of senior positions during his 20 years at Reuters. Most recently, he was Managing Director for one of the UK business divisions, responsible for the sale and support of the full range of Reuters products to UK-based North American, Japanese, and Asia Pacific customers.
