Factiva Now Available through Yahoo! Search Subscriptions

NEW YORK, July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Factiva(R), a Dow Jones and Reuters Company, today announced that select Factiva content is now accessible through Yahoo! Search Subscriptions (http://search.yahoo.com/subscriptions ), a beta program launched last month that enables users to search multiple online subscription content sources and the web simultaneously.

"The addition of Factiva headlines to Yahoo! Search Subscriptions provides a wider audience of web searchers with access to the best of the business deep web," said Greg Gerdy, vice president and director of channel marketing and strategy, Factiva. "Factiva is committed to integrating our news and business information into our users' workflow, and the web is an important part of that."

Beginning today, Factiva subscribers can retrieve current news and information in categories commonly searched on the web, including sports, entertainment, health and science from within their Yahoo! search results. They can also search up to 90 days of the leading business deep web archive by clicking through to Factiva from their Yahoo! search results.

"Yahoo! Search Subscriptions expands the web search experience by enabling users to use one search box to find relevant information from both the web and their online subscriptions. For many business users, Factiva provides the authoritative content necessary for making their business decisions and Yahoo! is excited to make this deep web content accessible to our users," says David Mandelbrot, vice president of Search Content.

Yahoo! users who select Factiva when "opting-in" to the search subscription service will be able to view Factiva headlines in any search. Factiva subscribers will be taken to Factiva, where they can click through to view the full article. Non-Factiva customers will be offered an option to purchase the article or other subscription packages.
