Extreme Networks Provides Enhancements to North American Channel Partner Program

Program Enhancements Enable Differentiation for Partners through Increased Investment, Incentives and a Focus on Growth

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 31 -- Extreme Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:EXTR) will debut significant enhancements to its North American Channel Partner Program in 2008, offering benefits for partners that include deeper investments by Extreme Networks(R) supporting their growth, market development and rewards for ongoing loyalty.

Extreme Networks offers its channel partners an award-winning family of network products and support, resulting in solutions that enable enterprises to solve their toughest challenges related to voice, video and data convergence, network scalability, integrated security and mobility. The enhanced Channel Program for North America launches April 1, 2008, and is focused on the growth of the channel through rewarding business performance and enhancing training and certification.

"Our program enhancements will better reward the commitment of all of our partners through increased investment and new incentives," said Christopher Rajiah, director of North American Channels for Extreme Networks. "Extreme Networks has demonstrated a strong channel commitment for more than a decade and we look forward to further growth and cooperation from our partners who benefit from a channel model that enables them to succeed."

Extreme Networks' Channel Program has been extended to include a new partner tier, the "Diamond" level, providing top performing partners with the opportunity to further enhance their Extreme Networks business with meaningful new benefits. These benefits include market development funds (MDF), loyalty rebates and rewards for lead generation. These benefits will be further extended to all channel partner program levels, providing proportional rewards to all participating partners.

Extreme Networks will also provide incentives to partners who demonstrate success in select vertical markets, specifically in the areas of education, healthcare and state and local government. Additionally, by participating in Extreme Networks' Bounty Program, partners can achieve additional discounts for qualified, high revenue, unassisted deals.

"As a longstanding Extreme Networks partner, I am impressed with the planned enhancements to the Channel Program, as these changes will better reward us for our continued commitment and loyalty," said Jeff Gardner, founder and CEO of Carousel Industries, which is leading the industry in delivering innovative solutions to accelerate network convergence. "These enhancements will help us to grow and further demonstrate our expertise with the strongest set of network and convergence technologies available."
