Essex Corporation Information Assurance Innovation Center

COLUMBIA, Md., Jan. 23 -- Essex Corporation (NASDAQ:KEYW) announces the expansion of its Information Assurance (IA) offerings through the launch of its Innovation Center. Similar to other virtual environments, the Innovation Center offers industry partners and customers the unique opportunity to test drive full enterprise architectures within a complete operational network environment. These environments include domains, networks, servers, clients, and advanced information assurance products. This capability is enabled through "virtualization." Information assurance is a critical requirement for all enterprise networks and systems, typically requiring multiple security products to interoperate seamlessly with critical applications, operations, and other security and network products.

Through virtualization in the Innovation Center, the Essex IA Sector allows customers to make better buying decisions and avoid expensive disappointments and surprises that can result from errors in architecture, product selection, or configuration that either fail to provide the required security or that disrupt operations. Within the Innovation Center, Essex leverages strategic relationships with over a dozen leading IA product vendors to offer customers the opportunity to experience, evaluate, and fine tune improvements to their security architectures. The IA Innovation Center will begin expanded operations with the opening of the new Essex IA Facility in Millersville, MD. This center is particularly focused on the requirements of large enterprise customers.

"Information superiority, which is doctrine throughout the defense programs of the United States, cannot be achieved without information assurance that is both innovative and intense," commented Leonard Moodispaw, CEO and President of Essex Corporation. "The virtualizing technology and capabilities offered in Essex' IA Sector are further examples of the creativity and deep insight our team has into critical defense and intelligence customer requirements."
