Ensinger Putnam Announces the Addition of CNC Turning and Milling Capabilities
June 12th, 2012 - Putnam, Connecticut - Ensinger Putnam announces the addition of CNC
turning and milling capabilities. The new machining centers will be installed within our current secondary department to support the finish machining of our injection molded components.
According to Jerry Hill, General Manager of Ensinger Putnam, "the specific markets we target demand tighter tolerances that simply can't be molded, therefore, we need to become more vertical in our approach to this business". Hill adds," the majority of work that we get involved in is in high performance materials such as Torlon, PEEK and PPS. These materials typically are combined with demanding tolerances and require exceptionally high levels of precision and quality. Continuous Improvement is an every day event at Putnam in order to support our partners in the defense, aerospace, oil & gas and medical products".
Ensinger Putnam is a custom injection molder of high performance materials. Located in Putnam Connecticut in a 65,000 square foot facility with 22 injection molding machines ranging in tonnage from 40 tons to 500 tons.
