Flux Drive Announces "Game-Changing" Industrial SmartCOUPLING Technology



Utilizing an Adjustable SmartPOWER Feature that Never Wears Out!



Seattle, WA – Flux Drive, a leading developer of permanent magnetic industrial power transmission technology, will announce at the Hannover-Messe Industrial Technology exhibition (April 8-12, 2013), the introduction of a ‘game-changing’ energy saver coupling - the Flux Drive SmartCOUPLING (FSC).



Unlike any other rigid or elastomeric couplings that physically connect motors with their driven loads (conveyors, pumps, fans, etc), the FSC transmits torque/power via magnetic Induction across an air gap; thereby having NO touching parts , requiring NO maintenance, and making the FSC a truly Smart solution for both centrifugal and constant torque loads. Most impressive, however, the FSC is the first and only adjustable coupling to provide energy savings on centrifugal loads through the use of Flux Drive’s patented SmartPOWER technology.



SmartPOWER is a unique adjustment feature built into the FSC that allows users to “tune” the FSC’s output speed/power to match process flow demands. Since almost all centrifugal pump / blower systems are overdesigned to meet future or unknown operational requirements, the opportunity to save energy through reduced flow/speed is vast. Using the FSC’s adjustable spacer shims, operators can increase the coupling’s magnetic air gap, thereby decreasing the torque / power transferred across the coupling.
