EMCORE Corporation and Sandia National Laboratories Sign Agreement for the Development of Concentrator Photovoltaic Power Systems


SOMERSET, N.J., July 28 // -- EMCORE Corporation (NASDAQ:EMKR), a leading provider of compound semiconductor-based components and subsystems for the broadband, fiber optic, satellite, solar power and wireless communications markets, today announced that it has signed a contract with Sandia National Laboratories. Sandia will provide technical support for EMCORE's terrestrial solar systems products. Sandia has worked for over 25 years in the development of photovoltaics for grid-tied, utility scale power generation.
