Executive Leadership Team Broadens as Elemental Appoints Software Industry Veteran Richard Hornstein as Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel

SAN MATEO, Calif. - April 5, 2006 - Elemental Security, Inc., the award-winning pioneer of new technology in enterprise information security, today announced that it has named Richard Hornstein as its Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel.

Mr. Hornstein has more than 20 years of financial and legal management experience, most recently serving as CFO of OpenTV, a leading publicly traded interactive television software company. Before that he was CFO and General Counsel of Resonate, Inc., a leading publicly traded traffic control and system management company. Mr. Hornstein also served as General Counsel, SVP of Corporate Development and SVP of Taxation for McAfee Associates, Inc. He has also worked for the Big 4 accounting firms of Coopers and Lybrand (Price Waterhouse Coopers) and KPMG. Mr. Hornstein earned a B.A. in Accounting from Queens College, a J.D. from Duke University, and a masters in Taxation from New York University.
