EFJ, Inc.'s 3e Technologies International Subsidiary Receives Common Criteria Certificates at RSA(R) Conference

IRVING, Texas, Feb. 21: EFJ, Inc. (NASDAQ:EFJI) announced today that its 3e Technologies International (3eTI) subsidiary has received two Common Criteria certificates at the wireless industry's RSA Common Criteria award ceremony. These awards recognize 3eTI's achievement in receiving National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) Evaluation Assurance Level 2+ Common Criteria Validation for the 3eTI wireless LAN access point and client software. The 3eTI AirGuard 3e-010F-C-2 and 3e-010F-A-2 secure client software and 3e-525A-3 wireless access point received NIAP certificates CCEVS-VR-06-0044 and CCEVS-VR-06-0045 in November 2006.

"It is an honor to be recognized by our peers at this prestigious event," said Michael E. Jalbert, chairman and chief executive officer of EFJ, Inc. "RSA is instrumental in driving the information security agenda worldwide and brings together influential contributors and educators that drive the industry to achieve excellence in the fields of security policy, public policy and mathematics that are vital to the continuous evolution of information technology."

The Department of Defense's 8100.2 WLAN policy has made Common Criteria Validation an important consideration for domestic and international buyers of wireless products. 3eTI's advanced mesh, bridging, and general wireless access capabilities of the 3e-525A-3 -- combined with 802.11i interoperability -- allow for secure applications in government, military and industrial environments. 3eTI's secure client software protects data communicated via a wireless local area network (WLAN) from unwanted eavesdroppers and hackers, helping to protect homeland security.
