Easily Achieve Flight Qualification with X-ES Systems
Several Extreme Engineering Solutions, Inc. (X-ES) systems have recently been flight qualified and are deployed in military aircraft. Prior to our customers conducting their own flight qualification testing, X-ES engineers perform extensive environmental and EMI tests using our in-house test equipment. Delivering MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 tested systems reduces the time and risk involved for our customers to complete their flight qualification process.
Working with independent test facilities or using our in-house equipment, X-ES has the expertise to perform a variety of environmental and EMI testing, including:
o shock and vibration,
o temperature,
o humidity,
o combined temperature and vibration,
o combined humidity, altitude, and temperature (HAT), and
o EMI/EMC tests.
X-ES can test for compliance to standards common to system- and board-level qualification efforts, such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, and DO-160.
The most recent X-ES flight qualified and deployed systems have been integrated into the XPand3200 and XPand4201 ½ ATR enclosures. The XPand3200 is a conduction-cooled enclosure, supporting conduction-cooled 3U VPX modules. The recently-announced XPand4201 enclosure conducts heat from conduction-cooled modules to heat exchangers, where the heat is dissipated to the ambient environment by forced-air cooling. Both enclosures house five 3U VPX payload slots, one 3U VPX power supply slot, and support for a wide variety of I/O. These flight qualified systems have shown our customers that when X-ES performs qualification testing, whether pre-screening or complete qualification, it significantly reduces the time and risk of getting their systems flight qualified and deployed.
