Dynamics Research Corporation on Winning Team for Air Operations Center Weapon Systems Integrator Effort

ANDOVER, Mass., Oct. 2 / -- Dynamics Research Corporation (Nasdaq: DRCO) announced today that it is on the winning team for a contract to integrate, field and sustain the Air Force's Air Operation Center (AOC) weapon system. DRC is a member on the Lockheed Martin team that began work on this critical C4ISR project in September. DRC will assist Lockheed Martin in all phases of development from requirements determination through implementation. The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, cost-plus-fixed fee, and cost-plus-award fee contract, including funding for operations, maintenance, and sustainment, is worth $589 million. DRC's subcontract with Lockheed Martin will be for up to 10 years. First year revenue is projected to be approximately $5 million.

The AOC Weapon System Integrator (WSI) program will integrate and standardize the systems and interfaces across the more than 20 Air Force AOCs to a common hardware and software baseline. This will facilitate moving to a network-centric environment in which incoming data can flow freely and be managed more efficiently. The WSI also will add machine-to-machine interfaces that will increase automation of tasks and provide faster access to incoming intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data.

"DRC has been successfully providing state-of-the art engineering support to Air Force C4ISR systems for over 20 years," said Jim Regan, DRC's chairman and chief executive officer. "We are pleased to have the opportunity to play a critical role on this important program."
