DUNMORE Research Manager Robin Kobren to Speak on Elevating Solar Module Material Quality at PV Power Plants 2012
BRISTOL, Pa., March 27, 2012 - With solar module manufacturers offering warranties as long as 20 years, the risks of premature module failures caused by low-quality materials multiply. Backsheets that de-laminate, for example, erode electricity production and raise the prospect of early replacement which forces manufacturers to incur warranty costs. During this PV Power Plants 2012 session, DUNMORE Research Manager and Senior Chemist Robin Kobren will describe how industry groups are reconciling the differences between manufacturers to arrive at trustworthy safety and performance standards. Kobren will use development of solar backsheet standards as an example of the broader efforts.
