Ducon Secures MgO FGD Order for 2x250 MW Power Plant in China

FARMINGDALE, N.Y., June 20, 2006 -- Ducon Technologies Inc.
announced that it has secured an order to supply a Flue Gas
desulfurization (FGD) system, utilizing Magnesium Oxide
(MgO) reagent for the Huaneng Xindian Power Co.'s 2x250 MW
power plant in Shandong province of China.

Ducon's proprietary MgO FGD technology was selected to be
the best among all bidders due to its high-efficiency
Ventri-Rod design, lower liquid to gas ratios, lower power
consumption and high sulfur dioxide removal efficiency.

"Ducon is the only FGD supplier who has a utility-sized
operating FGD installation in the United states using MgO,"
said Mr. Aron Govil, President and CEO of Ducon. "Huaneng
group was extremely impressed with the successful track
record of our MgO FGD installation for the past twenty
years."

Ducon's EEC unit will work with its local Chinese partner to
provide a turnkey installation that will also include an MgO
processing and feeding system, waste filtration and handling
system. The Ducon MgO FGD technology is a zero-discharge
system utilizing all waste generated thus eliminating waste
disposal and reducing reagent costs.

Ducon is a leading global provider of the most advanced and
custom-engineered FGD systems, baghouses, electrostatic
precipitators, and SCR NOx systems to control emissions from
power plants, refineries, steel plants and other industries
since 1938. Ducon also supplies laser opacity monitors,
mercury monitors, Continuous Emission monitoring systems and
material handling systems. Since its inception Ducon has
completed over 25,000 installations worldwide. Ducon's air
pollution control equipment is used to control toxic fumes,
SO2, HCl, H2S, NOx, VOCs, flyash, mercury, dioxins and
