Down and Dirty with Erosion Control at Disney

From February 20-23, Granite Environmental, Inc., got down and dirty at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. This local company, specializing in erosion control and pollution control product solutions attended the world's largest soil and water event: The International Erosion Control Association's (IECA) 11th Annual Conference, Environmental Connection, featuring "Environmental Heroes" at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. The IECA calls this conference "the premier educational event for the erosion control, sediment control and stormwater industry."

Environmental Connection offered training courses (half and full day) and topic-focused technical sessions. Along with the education available, hundreds of vendors, including Granite Environmental had exhibits featuring products and technology for the following environmental topics: Slope Stabilization, Stream Restoration, Vegetative Establishment, Stormwater Management, Wetlands Technology, Erosion and Sediment Control, Beach and Shoreline Stabilization, Wind Erosion Technology.

Along with presenting these products and technologies, Granite Environmental, in conjunction with The Nature Conservancy launched their "Plant a Billion Trees" campaign. For every business card donated, a tree will be planted in the Atlantic Forest. Couldn't make it to the show?
