LONGMONT, Colo., Feb. 22, 2011 - Dot Hill Systems Corp. (Nasdaq: HILL), a leading provider of Unified Virtual Storage and SAN storage solutions, today announced that it has been named as one of the 150 "Best & Brightest" innovative leaders for 2011 by MDB Capital Group, LLC for the second year in a row. This recognition is given to those technology leaders ranking in the 90th percentile among 1,500 companies with U.S. patents as rated by PatentVest®, MDB's proprietary, intellectual property (IP), business intelligence database. MDB draws the "Best & Brightest" companies from the universe of public companies with at least one U.S. patent and a market capitalization under $500 million, and employs a variety of other financial, innovation, value and quality metrics to arrive at the final "Best and Brightest" list.
According to MDB, companies on last year's "Best and Brightest" list outperformed the S&P Small Cap 600 Index by 1.4 to 1 and the S&P 500 Index by 2.8 to 1. All 150 "Best & Brightest" companies for 2011 are automatically invited to present at MDB's Bright Lights Conference, which will be held at the Le Parker Meridien Hotel, New York City, May 10-11, 2011.
