DMP Earns ISO 9001 Certification

ISO registration confirms presence of systems to ensure design and manufacturing quality
Springfield, Missouri - July 11, 2007 - Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) has earned ISO 9001:2000 certification for the design and manufacture of components for central station monitoring systems. The ISO certification demonstrates to customers, suppliers and other business partners that DMP has in place the systems to ensure that its products are designed and manufactured to very high quality levels, and that the company has a demonstrated focus on continuous improvement.
The ISO 9001 certification says that we're doing things right, said Lee Scanlon, DMP's
Director of Quality. We were confident that we had systems in place to ensure high quality in our design and manufacturing, but it's gratifying when an outside auditor looks at our systems and confirms it. The ISO certification says we're not only doing the right things today, but that we also have the continuous improvement practices in place to ensure that we'll continue to do the right things in the future.
ISO certification also requires that companies demonstrate a real customer focus, and that's right in line with our fundamental approach to business. We take a great deal of pride in our responsiveness to every customer need ... developing new products and finding the answers to tomorrow's questions. We see this certification as vital to our future success, and an important milestone on our journey towards being a great company.
ISO 9000 is a family of standards. 9001 is the Quality Management System Standard maintained by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). To earn the designation as an ISO 9001-certified manufacturer, DMP had to develop quality procedures covering all key business processes and demonstrate that all manufacturing processes are monitored to ensure quality product. In addition, DMP demonstrated that it checks outgoing products for defects, regularly reviews processes and its quality system for effectiveness, and makes ongoing changes to ensure continual improvement.
