Dimension Data Increases Geographic Reach of Global Services Alliance

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, April 4/PRNewswire/ -- Dimension Data today announced it will be expanding the geographical reach of the Dimension Data and Cisco Global Services Alliance to include Europe, Asia and Australia. This follows the successful implementation of the Global Services Alliance in North America commencing November 2004. This alliance provides joint customers with a portfolio of integrated IT professional and managed services and a single point of ownership to reduce the inherent complexities of multi-vendor contracts for enterprises. The
alliance in North America has already benefited over 50 companies.

"As a global company with many requirements and demands, having a single point of ownership yet being able to access a solution that combines global systems integration expertise and a manufacturers expertise is an ideal scenario," commented Roger Tibblin, Pfizer Group IT Manager, Sweden. "The nature of our business requires that our IT infrastructure is operated and optimised to deliver improved business productivity - the combination of Dimension Data's and Cisco's services would be a powerful offering."

"The services alliance agreement with Dimension Data enables us to provide customers with a consistent level of IT infrastructure support across their network lifecycle," said Karl Meulema, vice president, Cisco Services. "Customers will quickly realise the benefits of the integration of Cisco services with Dimension Data's IT infrastructure management services and support via its global service centres. Together, the companies will create end-to-end network-enabled capabilities that will help customers drive
business value."

By combining Dimension Data's global IT infrastructure consulting and integration capabilities with Cisco SMARTnet(R) support in a co-branded offering, clients will have access to strong technical expertise for the planning, design, implementation and management of IT infrastructures that support business innovation and are aligned to business goals. Clients will also receive enhanced diagnosis and proactive management of their IT infrastructures through Dimension Data's six global service centres - US, UK,
Europe, Africa, Australia and India - offering support in 17 languages.

"The Cisco and Dimension Data Global Services Alliance offers clients an increased breadth of services through the combination of Cisco technology and innovation with our own customer-aligned service delivery capabilities and global footprint," said Scott Petty, Group Executive: Services, Dimension Data. "Global corporations are turning to specialist IT infrastructure services providers to gain agility and flexibility in addressing their technology and business challenges."
