DENSO Robotics Opens Training Center Near Knoxville, Tenn.

Newest of Three Training Locations Nationwide

LONG BEACH, Calif. - DENSO Robotics announced the opening of a new customer training center situated inside the company's DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. plant in Maryville, Tenn. The center, located approximately five miles from McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville, is DENSO Robotics' third customer training center in the United States. DENSO also has centers in Long Beach, Calif. and Pine Brook, N.J.

"We chose our manufacturing plant in Maryville [Tenn.] as the site for our new Robotics training center because it is near the geographical center of the country," explained Peter Cavallo, DENSO Robotics manager. "We are trying to strategically locate our training centers across the nation, so that it will be more convenient for our customers to visit and benefit from them. This is just one part of our ongoing commitment to provide our customers with the highest possible level of support."

DENSO Robotics' newest training center features three classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art training robots, computer workstations and robot controllers, as well as programming and 3-D off-line simulation software.

DENSO's Robotics instructors will guide trainees through basic and advanced robot programming, operation and maintenance. By keeping classes sizes small-with no more than two trainees assigned per robot-the company hopes to provide customized instruction for the individual needs of its customers.
