Deloitte Consulting LLP to Acquire Xcelicor, a Leading Oracle® HCM Company
Transaction strengthens Deloitte Consulting's human capital consultancy; enhances their Oracle HR systems implementation consulting capabilities
NEW YORK, Sept. 24 / -- Deloitte Consulting LLP (Deloitte Consulting), one of the nation's leading professional services organizations and a subsidiary of Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, has announced today an agreement to acquire the assets of Xcelicor, Inc., one of the leading North American Oracle Human Capital Management systems (HCM) consultancies. The addition of Xcelicor's team of more than 80 professionals establishes Deloitte Consulting as a leading provider of Oracle human capital technology-related consulting services to the market.
"This transaction advances our total HR consultancy capabilities and further cements our position in the marketplace," said Mike Fucci, Principal and National Managing Director of Deloitte Consulting's Human Capital service area. "And, our clients stand to benefit greatly via our increased capabilities to help them implement Oracle HCM technology solutions, particularly as we get ready for the post-Fusion market. Existing Xcelicor clients gain access to Deloitte Consulting's full service business consultancy."
In 2008, Oracle is scheduled to release Oracle Fusion Applications which is a single applications product line that Oracle expects will combine the best functionality from all of its current product lines. This is expected to create significant demand from users and a highly competitive market for qualified integrators and consultants. Through this acquisition, Deloitte Consulting will position itself as a leading provider of consulting services to this new market.

It has 98 employees that will join Deloitte Consulting's Human Resource Transformation service line. The acquisition is expected to be completed in early October.
