Delcam Hosts Technical Summit in Thailand

Delcam recently hosted its sixth Asian Technical Summit in Pattaya, Thailand, for representatives from the company's key Asian customers and the region's media. This is the third Technical Summit held this year, following similar events in Chicago and Birmingham.

Delcam's series of Technical Summits are held each year to present the latest developments from the company to its leading customers and the technical media. With around half of the company's revenue from software sales spent on research and development, there are always a range of new products and enhancements to cover.

The Summits also feature presentations from Delcam customers, to show how they apply Delcam's technology and the benefits they receive from using the software. This year's guest speakers included representatives from Nike, Delphi, Nissan, Robinson Helicopters, Graham Packaging and Zytek Engineering.

"We maintain a regular supply of material to the world's technical media, including details on our latest software releases, case studies from our customers, and technical articles," commented Delcam's Managing Director, Hugh Humphreys. "Peter Dickin, who looks after our Press Relations, has done a remarkable job in developing our Technical Summits, assisted by staff in Birmingham, North America and the Far East."

"The events started from a relative small event in Birmingham, with assistance from Birmingham City Council, and have developed into much larger and more successful annual events. They are now attended by most of the world's technical press, with delegates from 25 countries at this year's three meetings. They are also very well supported by some of our major customers and technical partners. The Technical Summits reinforce both the rapid rate of development in our programs and the wide range of industries in which they are now used."
