Decrease Inventory with Weidmuller's Newly Revamped ASK and KDKS LED Indication Fuse Terminals

RICHMOND, VA (December 27, 2006) - Weidmuller's ASK and KDKS indicating fuse terminal blocks have been a reliable industry standard for over thirty years. Recent upgrades have made them more efficient than ever by utilizing a newly developed BFI (Blown Fuse Indicator) circuit, which uses new high efficiency SMT (Surface Mount Technology) LED that emits a bright signal throughout a complete voltage range. The BFI circuit is built into the lever making disconnection fast, and in the case of a damaged LED circuit, you only need to replace the lever. Because of the wide voltage range of the new BFI circuits, 16 part numbers now make up what was once represented by 40. This drastic consolidation translates to fewer items end users will have to specify due to various circuits.

Another outcome of the new design is a reduced leakage current rating, which reduces the occurrence of operator injury and false PLC input signal. The voltage range and polarity are labeled on the lever for easy identification and troubleshooting.

Weidmuller is a leading supplier of control and automation connectivity solutions such as Reliable Ethernet Solutions, Power Delivery Solutions, Design-Build-Deliver Solutions, Complete Rail Solutions, switching technology for control panels, printed circuit board terminals and connectors, and terminal blocks.
