Cybertrust Named PCI Qualified Data Security Company by Visa USA

HERNDON, Va., Feb. 21 / -- Cybertrust®, the global information security specialist, today announced that it has been recognized by Visa USA as a PCI Qualified Data Security Company (QDSC). As a Visa qualified QDSC, Cybertrust is authorized to provide Payment Card Industry (PCI) on-site security audits, ensuring merchants and service providers who store, process or transmit payment card data consistently apply PCI measures and controls to defend against data exposure and compromise.

Visa USA's Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP), which endorses the PCI Data Security Standard, is intended to protect cardholder data wherever it resides, ensuring that members, merchants and service providers maintain the highest information security standard. As a QDSC, Cybertrust has met stringent requirements of financial stability, technical capability and industry experience, resulting in the qualification of Quality Data Security Professionals (QDSPs) authorized to perform PCI Data Security Assessments.

"Visa's CISP reflects a commitment to information security, intelligent business and superior customer care," said Kerry Bailey, Cybertrust senior vice president, global services. "We are privileged to earn this recognition from Visa and look forward to continuing to work with acquiring banks, merchants and service providers to enable them to demonstrate compliance with this important information security standard."

Cybertrust Online Compliance Program (OCP) is the solution of choice for acquiring banks, merchants and payment service providers (PSPs) looking to monitor compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard. By partnering with Cybertrust, acquiring banks have expanded and easily customizable options to achieve greater visibility over their merchants' compliance status as required by PCI, while merchants and PSPs have access to useful tools to determine their compliance status and necessary remediation activities.
