Long-Term Software Development Partnership Helps Cswitch
Offer Enhanced Tool Chain to Configurable Chip Array Technology Customers

SANTA CLARA, CA and BANGALORE, INDIA - January 17, 2006 - SoftJin, a customized EDA (Electronic Design Automation) tool development company, and Cswitch Corporation, a semiconductor company developing next generation of configurable solutions, today announced the companies are setting up of an Off-Shore Development Center (ODC) in India to focus on developing customized EDA tools for customers and for in-house use of Cswitch. Under the terms of the agreement, SoftJin will have a dedicated team developing a variety of system and user tools and provide other design-related services for Cswitch's Configurable Switch Array technology.

"We have had a successful, long-term partnership with SoftJin," remarked Godfrey D'Souza, VP, Engineering, Cswitch. "Our success is the basis for establishing an even stronger partnership with SoftJin to meet our growing software development needs. We will continue to focus on our semiconductor design and core R&D activities, and partner with best-in-class companies in other areas to offer a superior solution to our customers."

D'Souza added: "We chose SoftJin to partner with for our customized software needs because of their proven track record in developing EDA tools for semiconductor companies around the world. Our relationship with SoftJin is yielding measurable benefits in terms of wider access to talent and time to market advantages for our software needs related to our Configurable Switch Array."

"We are very excited to be working with a path-breaking semiconductor company in the networking market like Cswitch. SoftJin has a unique value proposition of developing customized EDA tools for the specific requirements of Configurable and Programmable Fabric companies, thereby enabling these companies to offer custom crafted software tools to their users. Working in an ODC model with our customers allows us to tailor our services to ideally suit the needs of our individual customers. We look forward to working together with Cswitch to enhance the capabilities and ease-of-use of the EDA tool chain that Cswitch provides to its customers," said Nachiket Urdhwareshe, SoftJin CEO.

Earlier this year at the Design Automation Conference (DAC) (July 2006), Cswitch previewed its Configurable Switch Array chip technology, with innovative architecture that offers performance levels approaching an ASIC, including a bandwidth up to 100Gbps, and the configurability of an FPGA.
