CSC Launches 'Onshore Delivery' Initiative, Expands IT Support Capabilities in South Carolina

Domestic Sourcing Location to Provide Cost-effective Onshore Alternative for Clients

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Feb. 14 -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE:CSC) today announced the launch of its OnShore Delivery initiative to provide an affordable alternative to offshore information technology (IT) outsourcing services. The company will offer a broad range of IT services to its aerospace, defense and North American public sector clients through a new onshore delivery center in South Carolina. The center, which will open officially during the second quarter of calendar year 2008, expands CSC's existing presence in Blythewood.

Located at 10301 Wilson Blvd., the center will increase the local employee population by 300 during the next 12-18 months. It will play an integral role in the company's World Sourcing Services global delivery model, interfacing with other CSC World Sourcing sites around the globe and sharing a consistent set of tools, processes and standards.

CSC employees currently working at the Blythewood site support the company's Financial Services Sector clients and will remain part of that business unit.

"CSC is a global company providing advanced technology solutions to its customers in industry and government," said Joe Taylor, Secretary of Commerce for South Carolina. "The company's decision to expand its presence here is a testament to the area's highly skilled workforce and the state's business climate. Thanks to our strong partnership with the Central South Carolina Alliance and the team efforts of local and state officials, Blythewood will benefit tremendously from this expansion with high-tech jobs."

"Client choice is extremely important to CSC as we devise new solutions to address evolving requirements," said Mary Jo Morris, president of CSC's World Sourcing Services organization. "Many of our aerospace, defense and public sector clients now seek options to keep work closer to home, avoiding translation, time zone and other issues. These clients also often have restrictions such as ITAR that prevent them from sending work offshore. We eagerly anticipate the center's opening this spring and the opportunity to leverage this increased capacity."

"We are pleased to announce this new facility and the expansion of our capabilities in South Carolina to meet the pressing business needs of CSC clients around the world," said Ray August, president of the Property and Casualty Solutions organization within CSC's Financial Services Sector. "These additional services complement the capabilities already ingrained in the area to deliver efficient, cost-effective services to an even broader client base."

In addition to posting job openings locally and nationally, the company is working with the CSC Army Spouse Employment Program at Fort Jackson, S.C., as well as with Bender Consulting, which places individuals with special needs, to fill positions.
