Crown Enters Branding Agreement with Komatsu

Crown to Offer Internal Combustion Lift Truck Brand Under the Name Hamech

NEW BREMEN, Ohio, January 11, 2008 - In a move that will allow Crown-owned dealers to offer a single brand of internal combustion lift truck products and a consistent level of aftermarket support, Crown Equipment Corporation has entered into a branding agreement with Komatsu Forklift U.S.A. to distribute internal combustion lift trucks.

The new brand of internal combustion lift trucks will be marketed under the name Hamech (pronounced Hay-meck). The products will be based upon Komatsu's current model range.

All parts orders, service support and warranty for Hamech will be managed by the Crown distribution network just as they are now for Crown-manufactured products.

"The Hamech internal combustion lift trucks provide solid performance and solid value," said Crown Senior Vice President Jim Moran. "For Crown, adding the Hamech brand allows us to offer a comprehensive selection of internal combustion forklifts to meet a wide range of application needs. The Hamech range will be backed by Crown Equipment Corporation's world-class service and support network."

Crown Equipment Corporation has 40 Crown-owned dealers and 62 independent dealers in the United States and Canada.
