Compuware Announces New Major Customers, Sponsors Six Educational Sessions at Leading Legal Technology Conference

Compuware Vantage, Featured at ILTA '07 Conference, Provides Confidence in IT System Performance and Availability for Law Firms

DETROIT, Aug. 20 / -- Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ:CPWR) today announced that it will sponsor six educational sessions at ILTA '07, an annual educational conference hosted by the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA). At the conference, Compuware will also announce that four major law firms have recently purchased Compuware Vantage to provide better IT service delivery for their extended enterprises.

New Compuware Customers
The major law firms who recently purchased Compuware Vantage to solve IT service challenges are: Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, Latham & Watkins LLP, O'Melveny & Myers, and Steptoe & Johnson. All are highly respected firms with hundreds of lawyers and have each earned the AMLAW Top 100 ranking, sponsored annually by The American Lawyer magazine. Additionally, one of the firms, Latham & Watkins LLP, recently won the Legal Business Awards 2007 "Law Firm of the Decade." Each firm chose Compuware Vantage to help ensure system availability and performance for IT systems.

"Since implementing Vantage, we have found great value in assessing how our applications perform in each of our offices on a 24/7 basis," said Gary Maganaris, Director of Application Services for Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. "In just the past month, there have been several incidents where we have quickly referenced the recorded performance metrics of the 'active agents' to determine if reported application issues were specific to only one application or several -- suggesting a more broad networking issue. Compuware Vantage will continue to be extremely valuable in enabling a proactive approach to application performance issues which, in turn, will minimize work interruption."

ILTA Educational Sessions

ILTA '07 is ILTA's 30th annual educational conference and is considered by many to be the most important conference for the U.S. legal industry -- regularly attracting top talent for keynotes and break-out sessions. Compuware's focus group sessions will occur on August 21-22, 2007 and will feature customers and their peers discussing the key challenges that affect IT service delivery for law firms. Compuware-sponsored topics are: IT in Small, Medium and Large Firms; Making the Most of Citrix; Data Center Consolidation; and Integrated Messaging.

"Compuware understands the full-spectrum of IT concerns facing law firms serving demanding and time-sensitive end-users," said Julie Asciutto, Senior Vice President of Vertical Industry Solutions for Compuware Corporation. "We are fully committed to meeting the specialized needs of the legal industry, and our Vantage solutions help ensure that IT systems deliver as expected and help solve IT problems before end-users even know they exist."
