COMET Opens New North American Service Center

STAMFORD, CONNECTICUT - COMET, a leading supplier of X-ray, RF, and Dosimetry solutions, announces the grand opening of its Service and Repair Center at the recently expanded American headquarters in Stamford, CT. The new facility ensures the highest-quality test, repair and maintenance for all COMET X-ray tubes, RF products, and FEINFOCUS microfocus X-ray systems, with turnaround time of as little as 24 hours for the initial evaluation and analysis of a damaged X-ray tube or module.

Building on its reputation of excellence, COMET's Service and Repair Center features four certified service engineers with more than 25 years of experience. The center provides the COMET service team with the ability to test and repair COMET and FEINFOCUS X-ray tube subsystems as a module or at the component level. Paul Lukaniec, Technical Services Manager for COMET North America recently commented; "Having such an equipped facility in North America drastically reduces the turnaround time for our customers in throughout the Americas. We will continue to increase our technical capabilities in the future; providing repairs, testing, refurbishment, and upgrades for many of the COMET product lines."

In addition to troubleshooting, the center also provides failure analysis service for complex electronics devices and precision components, such as those found in military/aerospace and medical device applications. Utilizing award-winning COMET and FEINFOCUS inspection equipment, the experienced service team can provide a complete inspection report identifying the cause of component failures, and advising methods to avoid such failures in the future.
