Colson Caster Celebrates Three Years No Lost Time Injuries
Milestone Marked with Employee Luncheon and Recognition
Jonesboro, Arkansas, September 29, 2008 - Colson Caster Corporation, the world's leading manufacturer of standard and custom application caster and wheel products, recently treated all if its employees to a lunchtime cookout to mark its third complete year without any workplace lost time injuries. The manufacturing company has completed more than 750,343.77 hours of operation without logging any work-related lost time injuries.
"This is quite an achievement for a busy engineering and manufacturing company, especially one our size," said Mary Hamrick, Health and Safety Specialist for Colson. "In addition to the OSHA 300 LOG posting, once we reach one million hours, the company also becomes eligible for an award from the Arkansas Department of Labor."
The OSHA 300 Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses is a register of all workplace injury or illness within a designated company or work group of more than ten employees. Colson, with more than 100 employees, has not logged any lost time injuries since 2005. Hamrick believes that the success of Colson's safety program lies with the employees themselves. "Our average length of service here at Colson is more than 15 years. It is this experience, workplace and company pride, and sharing of responsibilities that contribute to our positive results."
