Coleman® Echelon(TM) Units Receive ENERGY STAR® Most Efficient 2014 Designation

MILWAUKEE – Select Coleman® Echelon™ units from Johnson Controls, a global multi-industrial company, have been designated as ENERGY STAR® Most Efficient 2014.

Two Coleman Echelon AC8B split system air conditioners and one Echelon HC8B heat pump received the designation when combined with the Echelon Residential Communicating Control, representing the leading edge in energy efficient products this year. This designation recognizes the most efficient products among those that qualify for ENERGY STAR.

To receive the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2014 recognition, products must feature:

Two-way communications with the system controller

Fault code transmission to the indoor controller

Performance levels of 18.0 Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER), 12.5 Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) and 9.6 Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF)

Automated configuration

Additionally, Echelon AC8B and HC8B models provide diagnostic and setup information in plain text as well as access to outside temperature data.
