Coe Press Equipment Announces: 2005 4th Quarter Orders/Shipments


Sterling Heights, MI - Coe Press Equipment Corporation, a leading producer of pressroom feed equipment, announces three of their recent orders/deliveries:

DANA Corporation - Hopkinsville, KY
Coe has recently installed a SpaceMaster Compact Coil Line-Model No. CCL-S3-15016 complete with a Hydraulic Production Shear and Drop Stacker at Dana Corporation, (Hopkinsville, KY). Dana Corporation is one of the world's largest independent suppliers to vehicle manufacturers and their related after markets.

The SpaceMaster Series is Coe's latest innovative solution that combines the three functions of unwinding, straightening, and feeding into one compact unit. The recently installed unit's major features include: 15,000 pound coil capacity, motorized coil guides, and hydraulic traveling coil car. The Hydraulic Production Shear is capable of cutting high-strength steel (.220" thick x 16" wide). The Drop Stacker designed to accommodate blanks up to 169" to 210" long features a positive front stop, adjustable side guides, and cushioned end stop to maintain accurate stack edges. This turnkey CTL will be used for the production of structural frame blanks.

Daimler Chrysler - Belvidere, IL
Sesco Products Group recently delivered a high-speed Oscillating Shear Die to the Daimler Chrysler Stamping Plant (Belvidere, IL). Daimler Chrysler is one of the top ranking automotive assembly plants in the industry.

Features of the Oscillating Shear Die include: hit rates up to 50 SPM, self centering
edge guides, pivoting ball transfer table, shifting exit conveyor with VFD speed controls, and Control Logix based PLC and machine controls. Sesco Products Group custom designed the shear die base to be integrated into Daimler Chrysler's existing 300 ton Verson blanking press, this unique combination shear and die is designed to produce trapezoid and parallel shaped blanks.

Johnson Controls - Battle Creek, MI
Coe has received an order for three fully integrated coil lines to be installed at Johnson Controls (Battle Creek, MI), supplier of Seating Systems. Johnson Controls is a leading global manufacturer of vehicle interior systems, batteries, and building controls.

One 72" wide x 50,000 pound system will be installed on a 1000 ton Komatsu press, along with two 60" wide x 40,000 pound systems installed on 800 ton Komatsu presses. The coil feeding systems are provided with Coe's state-of-the art controls and automation package. Features to improve setup and operating efficiency include: job recipe storage, motorized pass line adjustment and straightener rolls, automatic coil centering and drag brake compensation, and motorized edge guides.
