Clearwell Systems Joins EDRM Project to Define E-Discovery Guidelines and Standards

Company Brings Deep Knowledge in Search, Review and Analysis Applications to Address Industry Obstacles
SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 12 -- Clearwell Systems, Inc., a pioneer in Intelligent E-Discovery, today announced its involvement in the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) Project. Clearwell joins industry experts Tom Gelbmann and George Socha, along with enterprises and other solution providers in the organization, which was designed to develop and establish practical guidelines and standards for electronic discovery.

Launched in May 2005, the EDRM Project was created to address the lack of standards and guidelines in the electronic discovery market - a problem identified in the 2003 and 2004 Socha-Gelbmann Electronic Discovery surveys as a major concern for vendors and consumers alike. The completed reference model provides a common, flexible and extensible framework for the development, selection, evaluation and use of electronic discovery products and services. The EDRM project is comprised of more than 65 service and software providers, 33 law firms and other industry groups and enterprises involved with E-Discovery.
