Central Maintenance and Welding, Inc. Establishes New Engineering Division

September 15, 2008 (Lithia, Florida) - In order to support fabrication projects for their customers, Central Maintenance and Welding, Inc. (CMW) has established a separate Engineering Division (Central Engineering) for their business.

Having purchased a former bank building on County Road 39 South in Lithia, CMW totally renovated and remodeled the structure to house their new staff which includes a team of Engineers, Designers, and Estimators. Currently, there are approximately 15 persons within this group and they utilize Microsoft Project, Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical, Codeware COMPRESS, and Autodesk Inventor 3D software packages.

To lead the group, CMW added Chris Pearson to be their new Director of Engineering. Chris holds BSME and MBA degrees from the University of South Florida and he was formerly the Maintenance Superintendent for Sulfuric Acid and Power Production at the Mosaic Phosphates New Wales Plant.

"Chris brings a very well rounded perspective for our customers," stated Randy Coates, CMW's Chief Operating Officer. "Not only does he have the technical expertise but also several years of practical experience within plant operations to have a full appreciation of customer needs," Coates added.

To celebrate the commencement of this new operation, an Open House for the Engineering Division headquarters has been slated for September 25 and 26 in Lithia.
