Cattron, a Unit of Laird Technologies, to Attend ProMat® 2011 Trade Show and Co-located 2011 Industrial Crane & Hoist Conference

Company to Display Solutions for Material Handling and Present Case Study for Overhead Crane Issues

St. Louis, Missouri, USA - Laird Technologies, Inc., a global leader in the design and supply of customized performance-critical components and systems for advanced electronics and wireless products, today announced it will be attending the ProMat® 2011 trade show. The event will be held at the McCormick Place South in Chicago, Illinois, March 21 - March 24, 2011. Cattron, a unit of Laird Technologies, will be located at booth# 1859.

Cattron, a unit of Laird Technologies, will display its solutions for material handling, including the CattronControl(TM) series of remote control systems and the CattronConnect(TM) equipment monitoring software. The CattronControl(TM) remote control series is a new globally available product line of radio remote control receivers for industrial crane and machine control applications. Consisting of a lightweight, impact-resistant Lexan EXL® housing, its design is heavily influenced by ergonomic requirements. Device options are available for virtually any application requirement, including 250 VDC, hydraulic and pneumatic valves, FCC licensed or non-licensed frequencies, long range demands and two-way communications with a plain English display.

CattronConnect(TM) is equipment monitoring software that uses either 802.11, cellular phones, or satellite phones to connect to the system network depending on asset and infrastructure location. The system monitors a series of sensor networks that are added to the asset in order to monitor temperature, vibrations, speeds, shock, fluid levels, etc. Reports are then sent back to the user, which can be tailored to show real, useable information versus raw, unintelligible data. If an issue is detected on the asset, the system can issue an alert, which is sent to the mobile devices of selected individuals or groups via email or text message.

The company will be showing an animated presentation of CattronConnect(TM) that will visualize the use of the system on a variety of different assets in various locations. This presentation will be available for viewing at the company's booth.

"As a member of the MHIA (Material Handling Institute of America) for over 20 years, ProMat® 2011 presents Cattron, a unit of Laird Technologies, with a wonderful opportunity to showcase its latest remote control and monitoring systems consisting of the CattronControl(TM) and CattronConnect(TM) product lines," said Jeremy Pearson, Cattron Director of Sales, Industrial. "Cattron is also afforded with an event, the 2011 Industrial Crane & Hoist Conference, in which to demonstrate its expertise in the overhead crane market segment with a case study depicting a customer's actual technology advancement through the incorporation of a Cattron device."

Cattron, a unit of Laird Technologies, will also participate in the 2011 Industrial Crane & Hoist Conference, which is co-located with the ProMat® 2011 trade show. The conference will host a series of presenters on March 22, 2011 who will specifically be discussing the topic of Overhead Crane and Hoists, their issues, solutions, and case studies. The company will present a case study on the conversion from pendent controls to a Cattron, a unit of Laird Technologies, radio remote control at a customer facility.
