Cardiocom® Announces Telehealth Launch in Europe to Meet Demand for Chronic Disease Management Products

MINNEAPOLIS, May 14 /-- Cardiocom®, LLC, an industry leading developer and manufacturer of remote patient monitoring equipment and disease management software, announced that the company has obtained the required CE marking and certification and launched its products in the European market. Cardiocom® has formed several distribution relationships in the United Kingdom where the U.K. government is providing significant funding for telehealth solutions to meet the needs of an aging population. The announcement will be made by Daniel Cosentino, President of Cardiocom, at the 2007 American Telemedicine Association (ATA) conference in Nashville, Tennessee.

"I am very pleased that we have found the right partnerships to bring our innovative technology to patients who will benefit from being connected every day to their health care team to manage their chronic disease and improve compliance," Cosentino emphasized. "Our distribution partners bring many years of experience as leading providers of telehealth, health care and social services in their communities. They share Cardiocom's® passion for the highest quality medical technology and outstanding patient and customer service."

Cardiocom solutions are more than just biometric monitoring devices. The company has used its many years of telehealth experience to create an entirely new value in disease management by developing flexible intervention and management processes that are more efficient and more effective. The telehealth products and services operate as an integrated system for each specific disease state, offering clients maximum ability for complete management of patients with high risk conditions.

Cardiocom® will provide its partners with the Commander, Commander Cellular and AutoLink(TM) monitoring and alert products, which are exclusively developed, manufactured and serviced by Cardiocom®. The company's GlucoCom(TM) division will also supply blood glucose monitoring supplies for diabetic patients.

In addition to distributing products, Cardiocom's® United Kingdom partners will provide nurse call center services for daily monitoring of patient biometric data, health status and compliance. The nurses will use Cardiocom's® comprehensive web-based OmniVisor Pro(TM) patient management software system. This highly intelligent system increases nurse efficiency by at least double traditional case ratios and improves clinical effectiveness by promoting daily patient engagement, behavior change and self-management.

With the European launch, Cardiocom® is positioning itself to provide additional unique and extremely focused telemonitoring enhancements to meet the growing international demand for services to help aging populations stay connected with their health care professionals while remaining independent in their homes for a longer time.
