Calder Packaging Machinery Announced as New Contract Service Office for Elsner Engineering Works, Inc.
Elsner Engineering Works, Inc., based in Hanover, Pennsylvania, USA, is pleased to announce that Calder Packaging Machinery, located in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England, has recently been appointed as their newest contract field service office for Elsner's United Kingdom and European customer base. Calder Packaging Machinery is also Elsner's sales representative in the United Kingdom.
Calder Packaging Machinery is a division of Calder Machinery Limited, which was founded 25 years ago by Martin Wood. The original business was started to rebuild and retrofit machine tools and this entity is still thriving. The new division to support the ever important converting and packaging industries marketplace was opened at the end of 2008.
Under their agreement, Calder Packaging Machinery will be available on a contract basis to service ELSNER converting and packaging machinery throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. F. Rusty Elsner, President & CEO of Elsner, states: "We have had a contract service office based in Germany for many years and this has worked out quite well for our European customers; however, the gentleman running that office has elected to close it. We wanted to insure continuity for those customers that have taken advantage of our European service offering and be ready to resolve equipment issues in a timely manner; Calder Packaging Machinery was a logical choice. Martin has employed many qualified, electronic and mechanical service engineers for many years under their machine tool rebuild division, so it was a natural progression to train some of these men on ELSNER equipment accordingly as they are already well versed in machinery repair and maintenance. Two gentlemen, Mr. Carl Pearce and Mr. Lee Sharp, recently received detailed equipment training at Elsner. As a result, they have a broad product knowledge on several ELSNER model machines. Where necessary, Carl and Lee will work closely with ELSNER technicians to insure that our customer requests are handled as accurately and efficiently as possible."
