Busak+Shamban Renamed Trelleborg Sealing Solutions
Name Reflects Company's Outstanding History
Ft. Wayne, IN - April 2, 2007 - Busak+Shamban, part of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions business unit and leading provider of sealing and polymer products, announces it is changing its name to Trelleborg Sealing Solutions. Busak+Shamban was established as the global sales and marketing arm of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions. The name change is in support of the consolidated brand strategy of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions and is effective April 2, 2007.
"The transfer in name will be seamless," says Claus Barsøe, President of the Trelleborg Sealing Solutions business area. "We feel this change will unify our total brand offering, emphasizing that our marketing and sales arm and manufacturing operations run as a cohesive unit. Additionally the superior quality of support and service we give to our customers will not be affected. In fact, it can only be enhanced by our future plans."
October 1, 2003, Trelleborg AB aquired Busak+Shamban for its strong polymer expertise and customer backing. With a pedigree going back 50 years, the global sales and marketing arm continued to operate under the existing Busak+Shamban brand, while the manufacturing part of the organization adopted the Trelleborg name. Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, a Trelleborg AB business unit, has grown into an international network of over 60 facilities worldwide, including 32 manufacturing sites, strategically-positioned materials and development laboratories, and design and application centers.
