Brilliant Telecommunications Participates in Industry Recognized Timing and Synchronization Plug-Fest Event

Demonstrate interoperable, system-level Precision Time Protocol (PTP) IEEE 1588 solution

Campbell, Calif-October 1, 2007-Brilliant Telecommunications, Inc., a developer of precise and reliable hardware-based Network Time Protocol (NTP) and Precision Time Protocol (PTP) server technology, today announced it will participate in the upcoming International IEEE Symposium on Precision Clock Synchronization for Measurement, Control and Communication (ISPCS) Plug-Fest event in Vienna, Austria. Hosted by the Austrian Academy of Sciences and sponsored by the IEEE and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the Plug-Fest provides an opportunity for vendors from around the globe to demonstrate system interoperability of their timing and synchronization solutions. The Plug-Fest takes place on Monday Oct 1, 2007.

Solutions from leading equipment vendors and semiconductor companies will be tested to verify compliance with the IEEE 1588 v1 and v2 standards while providing vendors an opportunity to validate the operational characteristics of their products to ensure baseline criteria are met.

"We are pleased to participate in the IEEE1588 Plug-Fest in Vienna, with other leading vendors who share the same commitment for standards-based solutions," commented Dr. Charles Barry, President and CEO, Brilliant Telecommunications. "Brilliant is an emerging leader in providing end-to-end carrier-class NTP/PTP solutions for legacy and next-generation networks. Our participation in the Plug-Fest demonstrates our vision to offer our customers a variety of timing solutions that meet the needs of emerging applications for both wired and wireless networks."
