Patrick Buckley Joins Powers Fasteners as Staff Engineer;
Director of Engineering Services Mark Ziegler Earns PE Certification
Powers Fasteners, Inc., the leading domestic manufacturer of concrete anchoring systems, has expanded its engineering capabilities with the appointment of Patrick D. Buckley as Staff Engineer.
The announcement was made by Vice President of Sales and Marketing Len Colasuonno, who also announced that Director of Engineering Services Mark Ziegler has received his certification as a Professional Engineer.
"Powers Fasteners remains committed to providing a wide range of services for the design professional, from professional seminars and hands-on demonstrations to help with specifications and the industry's most comprehensive technical manuals," noted Mr. Colasuonno.
Mr. Buckley joins Powers after serving six years as Applications Engineer for the Emhart Industrial Fastener Division of Black and Decker Corporation. He also has held engineering positions with Loctec Corporation, Curtis Packaging Corporation and Kaman Industrial Technologies. A resident of Gaylordsville, Conn., Mr. Buckley earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology from Central Connecticut State University.
Mr. Ziegler was named Director of Engineering Services in 2002 after joining Powers Fasteners as Western Regional Engineer the year before. In his present position he oversees the company's comprehensive design professional programs, including code approvals, technical documentation, training, field calls and engineering seminars. Mr. Ziegler holds a degree in civil and structural engineering from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash.
