Brazoria Telephone Selects Alcatel for End-to-End IP Network


PLANO, Texas, June 1 // -- Alcatel (NYSE: ALA; Paris: CGEP.PA) today announced that it has been selected by U.S. independent service provider Brazoria Telephone for the deployment of an end-to-end IP network solution. The solution will allow Brazoria to deliver new services to its customers, including high speed Internet, streaming video, online gaming, and eventually VoIP.

Providing local telephone, cellular and Internet services to more than 7,000 customers in Texas, Brazoria will now be able to offer innovative high bandwidth applications based on Alcatel's solution including the 7750 Service Router, the 7450 Ethernet Service Switch and the Alcatel 7330 Intelligent Services Access Manager (ISAM) fiber-to-the-node (FTTN) system.
