Bradman Lake Moves Ahead in Europe

Bradman Lake GmbH has moved to a new, 1800 sqm, purpose-built factory at Dietmannsried in Southern Germany, some 60 miles from Munich and at the heart of mainland Europe.

Three times bigger than the Wiggensbach plant with 1200 sqm of engineering workshops and 600 sqm office space, the move will further accelerate the rapid growth of the German company. Sales have doubled every year since it became part of the Bradman Lake Group in 2003 and now provide some 15% of Group turnover.

In a major strategic development, BLGmbH became responsible last year for Group sales in the whole of the European Union and the CIS countries of the former Soviet Union. The new location will be a springboard into the growing markets of Eastern Europe as well as other Western countries. Already, sales to Russia have doubled.

Bradman Lake GmbH produces the same machinery range such as top load carton formers, closers, intelligent robotic systems and end load cartoners as produced by Bradman Lake in UK and USA. Its customers include major multinationals as well as some of Germany's biggest producers of pizzas, cereals and cereal bars, frozen foods and ice cream.

Together with partners Autowrappers and Europack in the Bradman Lake Group, BLGmbH is able to supply and service complete, integrated packaging lines from primary flow wrappers to end-of-line shrinkwrap and case packers. Visitors to ProSweets 2006 in Cologne this month will witness this capability in action on a high speed flow wrapping and robotic top load cartoning line for confectionery bars.
