Bomco Promotes O'Neill to Office Manager, Hubbard to Vice President
Gloucester, MA., January 3, 2008. Michael McCarthy, President of Bomco, Inc., a leading manufacturer of precision metal formed components for aerospace and commercial companies, has announced the promotion of Patricia M. O'Neill to the position of office manager and Paul L. Hubbard to the position of vice president. In making the announcement, Mr. McCarthy said, "We are very pleased to promote our highly qualified, long term employees to new positions and to recognize them for their many contributions to the company. Their understanding of our business and their continuity of service benefit both Bomco and our customers."
In her new position, Ms. O'Neill will be responsible for all phases of office operation including reception, quoting, order processing, customer services and inside sales support for the company's three product divisions. "As a 25 year employee, Patty is highly experienced and well qualified to manage the growth of our office services in a smooth manner", McCarthy explained. A graduate of Malden High School, O'Neill currently resides in Gloucester.
In his new position as vice president of the corporation, Mr. Hubbard will assume additional responsibilities for long range planning, plant restructuring and expansion, and the cultivation of new customer relationships. "There is no question about it," explains President McCarthy, "Paul is playing a key role on our management team and will help to direct our future."
Hubbard will continue to head the company's engineering department where he directs a team of engineers and is responsible for inspection technology, new equipment acquisition, plant layout and technology development.
Having worked at Bomco as a draftsman during high school, Hubbard later joined the engineering department where he progressed from tool designer to manufacturing engineer, to chief manufacturing engineer, to department manager and now to vice president. A twenty-four year Bomco veteran, Hubbard graduated from Gloucester High School, studied design principles at Wentworth Institute of Technology and attended numerous professional seminars and courses. Hubbard lives with his daughter in his native city of Gloucester.
