BioSolve Company Wins Contract with New York City Transit Authority


Lexington, MA - The BioSolve Company (TBC) manufacturers and distributors of the leading hydrocarbon mitigation agent(TM), BioSolve® and BioSolve Pinkwater® has recaptured an eighteen month supply agreement to provide pallet quantities of BioSolve Pinkwater to the New York City Transit Authority (MTA). Pinkwater is a water-based biodegradable wetting agent and surfactant formulation. It is used by MTA for cleaning greasy and oily parts in dip and spray wash tanks.

MTA has been procuring BioSolve Pinkwater for surface cleaning and parts cleaning since 2006. The 2010 procurement was won by a competitor of TBC; however, The BioSolve Company was successful in recapturing the contract in 2011.

The BioSolve Company also supplies Pinkwater to the Fire Department of New York for use by FDNY's Haz Mat Division. Another BioSolve customer in the municipal transit segment is Washington Metro Area Transit Authority. BioSolve Pinkwater is also purchased regularly by several major interstate railroad lines.

BioSolve Pinkwater is the leading hydrocarbon mitigation agent. The product has been sold into a broad range of industrial applications for over 30 years, and is now available through master distributors on a world-wide basis.
