Billet Industries Celebrates 40 Years Servicing the Machining Industry
Billet Industries, Inc., in York, Pa, celebrates 40 years of service. In 1972, after completing a Tool and Die apprenticeship, achieving a Business Management degree and serving his county in Vietnam, Keith Billet started Billet Tool in a rented building. Intent on developing a successful company, Keith dedicated his time and ability to service the manufacturing sector of York County, PA.
In 1975, Billet relocated to a larger facility in Wrightsville. By 1991, the company had outgrown this facility by continuing to meet the constant changes in the sub-contract machining. With increased CNC Milling and Turning capabilities, Billet moved to its new 28,600 square foot facility in East York. Troy Billet, Keith's son, joined the company after serving in the US Navy and receiving a degree in Management from Penn State University. In 1995, Billet Tool bought ACS Tool Company and combined both entities to become Billet Industries Inc.
With a client base including the nuclear, hydro, renewable energy, aerospace, defense, medical, machinery and food manufacturing industries, Billet has expanded its client base from regional to national and worldwide. Billet's ISO 9001-certified quality systems provides products that meet the stringent quality requirements of its customers with an overall goal of complete customer satisfaction.
Billet attributes much of its growth to the teamwork of its employees, who have allowed the company to thrive in the precision machining industry.
