BigMachines Accelerates Record Growth in 2007

AMR Research validates growth and success in expanding into high-technology markets; Strong customer demand for BigMachines product configurator and quoting software

Chicago, IL and San Mateo, CA - September 20, 2007 - BigMachines, Inc., the leading provider of on-demand configuration and quoting software, announced today record growth through July with over 90% growth in contract bookings and 100% increase in year-to-date revenue over the same period 2006. BigMachines has already added 35 new customers, with the majority of wins in the high-technology, medical, and software industries, as well as continued success in the industrial vertical.

BigMachines new customers serve a broad variety of markets including software, medical instruments, wireless devices, and office technologies. Recent customer wins include Laird Technologies, Sundyne (a division of Hamilton Sundstrand, United Technologies), and additional divisions of Smiths Group, Kodak GCG, and SPX.

In his recent report on Sales Configuration: From Efficiency to Excellence, AMR Research analyst Rob Bois notes under the tagline "BigMachines gets Bigger. BigMachines has begun appearing on short lists more frequently, largely driven by its appearance on salesforce.com's AppExchange. Because of salesforce.com's increasing pervasiveness within high-tech markets, BigMachines has been able to broaden out of its traditional sweet spot of pumps, valves, and industrial products to now include high-tech manufacturing such as office productivity, medical devices, and telecommunications equipment."

To solidify its leadership position in the salesforce.com ecosystem, BigMachines was recently the only Gold sponsor in its category at Dreamforce and presented together with its customers on best practices in "Selling more with On-Demand Quoting". In addition, BigMachines also released version 7.3 of their Lean Front-End® software. This new release includes significant application server and database upgrades in addition to adding seamless product integration features for joint Salesforce.com CRM customers.

BigMachines has expanded its management team by adding Rob Milks as Vice President of Strategic Sales to build relationships with enterprise customers. Rob previously held a similar role at Selectica and was personally involved in closing many of the largest enterprise deals in this sales configuration market. During 2007, BigMachines has grown its team by over 20%- hiring new resources across all areas including sales, professional services, and development, as well as expanding its offshore development center.

"BigMachines record growth continues in 2007," said Godard Abel, co-founder and CEO of BigMachines. "We continue to focus on driving customer success and are winning more and more deals to clearly position ourselves as the market leader in on-demand sales configuration. We see increasing customer demand for OnDemand configuration, pricing, and proposal technology, and we are driving a successful strategy to diversify across industries. By providing industry-leading solutions with proven implementation success, we will continue to drive breakthrough results for our customers while delivering long-term sustainable growth and profitability."
