BEEMTech to Meet with Key South African Industries as Participants in Israeli Government Delegation

Company to participate in Power and Electricity World Africa to introduce its energy efficiency products to the huge market in Africa

REHOVOT, Israel - BEEMTech, a global provider of advanced lighting control and energy efficiency management solutions, will introduce its innovative energy efficient lighting system for commercial buildings at Power and Electricity World Africa at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday, 28th March.

LightBEEM(TM) is a complete, easy-to-deploy lighting control and energy management system that delivers facility-wide control, lowering lighting energy costs by as much as 75%. Based on patented technology, LightBEEM's retrofit-ready design allows it to be easily installed in a broad range of commercial buildings without requiring additional wiring. By communicating over existing power lines, rather than requiring new wiring, LightBEEM overcomes one of the chief impediments to widespread adoption of lighting control and energy efficiency systems in existing buildings, while speeding implementation and improving system ROI.

With the acute energy crisis in sub-Saharan Africa in general and in South Africa in particular, LightBEEM is uniquely poised to provide critical operational and financial benefits by substantially reducing energy usage in normal operations, with the bonus of additional savings during peak usage periods. All of this is accomplished while fully maintaining room occupant comfort and satisfaction.

Recently showcased at the 2011 ConEdison Energy Efficiency Summit in New York, and in JETRO's Smart Week in Yokohama, Japan, BEEMTech's retrofit-ready technology was lauded as "the right thing, in the right place, at the right time" by Building Energy Efficiency Management (BEEM) industry experts.

"As the springboard to African markets, with serious incentives to install energy efficient systems, South Africa is our ideal strategic venue to introduce LightBEEM technology and capabilities to the entire region," said Nati Freiberg, BEEMTech CEO. "We have already seen some strong interest from South Africa, where the urban and industrial environments are poised to reap maximal benefits from LightBEEM's retrofitting and design features, along with the high savings and rapid ROI they generate."
