Aykroyd Appointed National Sales Manager at Sloan Valve Company
FRANKLIN PARK, IL -John Aykroyd has been named National Sales Manager for Sloan Valve Company. The announcement was made by Sloan's Vice President, Business Development, Kirk Allen.
"In identifying and selecting a candidate for our National Sales Manager, it was important we find someone with a national presence, a strong relationship with traditional plumbing distribution, and the strength of character to replace the recent loss of Ren Owen," Allen said. "We have found that person in John Aykroyd."
In addition to guiding Sloan's industry-leading sales and distribution network, John will work closely with Marketing and Operations to ensure that product strategies are translated into actionable team-based sales tactics.
"You simply cannot walk in and fill the shoes of someone like a Ren Owen," Aykroyd said. "What you can do is build on his successes. I look forward to the challenges of the position, and for being able to serve a company like Sloan."
Aykroyd's most recent post was National Sales Manager for Halsey Taylor, where he developed and initiated sales strategies and action plans that grew that company's profits and market share.
Prior to that, he was a District Sales Manager for Mueller Industries.
Aykroyd holds a B.S. in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.
