AxleTech International to Open New Worldwide Headquarters and Global Distribution Center
WHAT: AxleTech International, a global provider of suspension and braking components for heavyduty commercial and military vehicles, will hold a grand opening/ribbon cutting ceremony for its new worldwide headquarters facility. Located in south Troy, Michigan, AxleTech's new facility encompasses 210,000 square feet and will be staffed by nearly 200 production, distribution and professional employees (a 140-percent increase to employment at the company's old Troy, Michigan headquarters). The new facility will house the product development and manufacturing groups for AxleTech's original equipment and aftermarket equipment business as well as the company's gear and brake operations.
WHEN: Friday, September 17, 2010. Media tours of the facility will begin at 1 p.m. (Eastern Time). The ceremony will start at 2 p.m.
WHERE: The new AxleTech International facility is located at 1400 Rochester Road in Troy, Michigan.
WHO: Several members of the federal, state, county and local delegations who represent Troy, Michigan, will attend the ceremony. Several of those officials are expected to be available to the media following the ceremony.
