Autoweb Named One of Michigan 50 Companies to Watch

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - Autoweb, a leading provider of software-based data management and business process automation solutions for the automotive, aerospace and consumer goods industries, has been chosen as one of the "Michigan 50 Companies to Watch."

Sponsored by the Edward Lowe Foundation, the "Michigan 50 Companies to Watch" award program recognizes high performing, second-stage Michigan companies with six to 99 full-time employees. Only companies that are privately held and headquartered in Michigan, as well as generate between $750,000 to $50 million in annual revenue or working capital from investors or grants are eligible.

"We are very honored to be chosen as one of Michigan's 50 Companies to Watch," said Nino DiCosmo, president and CEO of Autoweb. "Our Michigan-rooted history has played a significant role in the continuing success of our business."

Founded by a former Chrysler engineer as a small business in the mid-1990s, Autoweb's initial management team established the company in Southeastern Michigan to be near U.S. domestic automakers and many of their suppliers.

Consisting of primarily Michigan-born and educated employees, Autoweb has grown from primarily a data exchange company to an all-encompassing global data management and process automation provider.

Award nominees were evaluated on their demonstrated intent and capacity to grow based on a number of factors including employee or sales growth, exceptional entrepreneurial leadership and sustainable competitive advantage.

Autoweb and its fellow award recipients will be honored at an awards ceremony during the third annual Michigan Celebrates Small Business event on April 24 in Lansing.

Based in Rochester Hills, with European headquarters in Germany and the U.K., Autoweb is a leading provider of global data exchange and business process automation software for manufacturers and suppliers. The company provides a single, software-as-a-service-based business process network, capable of connecting all global industry communication protocols and standards. Autoweb has more than 5,200 customers in 40 countries, with more than 80 global sales partners.

Autoweb customers include some of the world's leading automotive manufacturers and their suppliers, including Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Mitsubishi and Nissan, as well as BAE Systems, Behr, Federal Mogul, Hella, Honeywell Aerospace, Johnson Controls, Lear, Metaldyne and Visteon.
